"The mark of a great Mason is not found in the number of titles held or the length of his tenure in office any more than the value of life itself can be measured in the amount of wealth amassed or the trophies acquired in life's myriad forms of competition. Those who are numbered among the truly great are remembered for their capacity to serve others without regard to their own self interest, and often, at its expense. As an educator, husband, father, friend, and Mason, George Thomas Leslie is a man who has excelled in those virtues which truly matter and which survive time's ravages against all merely material monuments."
