On Wednesday June 14th, members of Mark P Waterman Lodge #177 were at Chautauqua Elementary school on Vashon Island, to present bicycles to the winning girl and boy, in the lodge sponsored Bikes for books program. The winners were Valentina Duque ('Dookay') and Derek Alunbaugh, both in fifth grade. The brothers attending were (l to r) WM John Bozeat, SW Ric Novak, Secy Ken Ellingson, Treas John McCarthy, Chaplain Kevin Barnes and JD Luke Vangolen.  The program has proven to be a great success with the school and its administrator, Mr Ken Larson. The Lodge has therefore agreed to continue and expand this program into 2007, to the delight of the grade 4 students who will benefit from it next year!
